Homeworker Connect– Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the registration and participation of Agents on the Homeworker Connect platform.
By signing up as an Agent, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.
2. Role of the Agent
- An Agent is authorized to register homeworkers on behalf of Homeworker Connect
- The Agent is responsible for verifying the authenticity and accuracy of the homeworker's personal and professional details.
- The Agent acts as a facilitator only and is not an employee of Homeworker Connect.
3. Registration of Homeworkers
- Agents must collect the following from each homeworker:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Age
- Gender
- Location (County/Sub-county)
- Previous work experience (if any)
- Photo (optional but encouraged)
- Homeworkers can only be added through a verified agent account.
- False or misleading data submitted will result in account suspension or ban.
4. Agent Commission
- Agents are entitled to 10% commission of the agreed salary when a homeworker they registered is successfully employed through the platform.
- Commission is only payable once per homeworker/employer match.
Payment Process:
- Payments are issued after confirmation from both employer and employee that employment has begun.
- No commission is owed if:
- The employment does not proceed.
- The employer hires the homeworker outside of the platform to avoid commission.
5. Agent Conduct & Responsibilities
Agents agree to:
- Register only genuine, available homeworkers.
- Not demand illegal or exploitative fees from homeworkers.
- Not harass, threaten, or mislead users.
- Cooperate with Homeworker.info in case of complaints or verification checks.
6. Platform Fees & Deductions
- Homeworker Connect does not charge agents to create accounts.
- However, we reserve the right to introduce transaction fees or subscriptions in future, with prior notice.
7. Termination
- Homeworker Connect reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate any agent account for misconduct or fraud.
- Withhold commissions in case of dispute or unresolved employment confirmation.
- Agents can close their account at any time by contacting support.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Homeworker Connect is not liable for any side arrangements, cash transactions, or verbal agreements between agents and homeworkers/employers.
- We do not guarantee job placement for every homeworker registered by the agent.
9. Legal Compliance
- Agents must comply with Kenyan labor laws and the Employment Act (2007).
- Any reported cases of child labor, trafficking, or abuse will lead to immediate account termination and legal action.
10. Dispute Resolution
- All disputes will be handled in accordance with the Law of Kenya.
- Disputes between agents and employers/househelps should be reported to Homeworker Connect support team.
11. Changes to Terms
Homeworker Connect reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
